Kelly Frey accepts her Lifetime Achievement Award from SOASA President, Ken Conselyea
The Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association proudly announces Kelly Frey as recipient of the 2017 Referee Lifetime Achievement Award. She started playing soccer at age 10, playing continually up into the SOASA adult leagues.
Kelly began officiating in 2000, rising up the ladder to become a Grade 6. She went emeritus in 2017 due to an injury. During her officiating career, she worked games at all levels including the W-League, USL and professional indoor soccer. Over the past ten years she has assessed and mentored many referees, giving them the benefit of her experience and knowledge at tournaments, academies and league play.
She was designated as the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Referee of the Year in 2015. She is also active on the OSSRC Academy Program board and oversees the training of high school referee training for the Midwest Soccer Officials Association. Our leagues and officials are better for her dedication and commitment to the game.
